I am resilient, always organised, punctual, dedicated, and willing to help others. A lot of my experience is within podcast editing and radio presenting. One of my biggest achievements is having interviewed Dani Armstrong from Postmodern Jukebox for Gaydio, an LGBTQ+ radio station. Having an extensive knowledge in music has equipped me with the confidence to present radio shows. I am competent in using audio editing software such as Logic Pro and Garageband. I have great teamwork and communication skills.
Work experience
Phil Taggart’s ChillDaBeats show – Assistant Music Research Producer – March 2021
My role at ChillDaBeats was only brief as it was part of a placement module I did for my undergraduate degree. I was tasked with researching music that had not yet been played on the show yet and to create a playlist of it. As an extra, I also made some notes on a few artists that I thought were worth talking about.
P.S. I’m Blind – Podcast Producer – September 2021
I was asked to take on the role of a podcast producer which included editing the episodes and picking out highlights from each episode to go in the intro link.
Tech For Good Live – Podcast Editor – January 2021-January 2022
My role at Tech For Good Live consisted of me editing their weekly episodes and working with the main producer to make sure the episodes were to the best standards. I also edited a couple of the specials called “Making Friends With …”. Where opportunities presented themselves, I also hosted one of the episodes and took on the role of the researcher for another. I started my work with Tech For Good Live during my undergraduate final year work placement module and decided to carry on afterwards.
5 Towns Radio – Volunteer Radio Presenter – August 2021-November 2021
As a volunteer presenter for 5 Towns Radio, a West Yorkshire local community station, I hosted a 2 hour long weekly show every Wednesday afternoon playing a wide variety of music and covering a variety of topics.
Great British Mag – Assistant Producer – March 2022-June 2022
My position at Great British Mag was part-time employment as I was part of the Government’s Kickstart Scheme. I worked as an assistant producer, for their podcast, GB Mag Chats, editing the episodes, and stepping up to host some later on. I was also involved with some research-based tasks and guest selection.
Gaydio – Volunteer Content Contributor – April 2022
This was a volunteer position which gave me the opportunity to contribute content to a nationally known LGBTQ+ radio station. The content would include things such as interviews that would be broadcast on a variety of shows.
